As someone who’s deeply connected to community and passionate about seeing small towns thrive, I believe some of the best ideas come when we stop trying to compete—and start creating together.
This season, I’m challenging towns (just like ours) to rethink fall flavors and collaboration. What if we didn’t just decorate for fall—but created an event that gives people a reason to explore, taste, vote, and fall in love with local again?
Here’s the Vision:
Imagine your favorite small-town restaurant creating a dish using a local spirit—whiskey, wine, cider, or beer. Now imagine the dish being bold, unexpected, and only available for a limited time. Then picture local customers voting for their favorites, chefs gaining exposure, and new relationships forming between food makers, beverage crafters, and local shops.
This isn’t just about seasonal food.
It’s about:
- Chefs showing off their creativity
- Local distilleries, breweries, and vineyards getting exposure
- Highlighting the stories behind each business
- Creating content that businesses can reuse
- Families and tourists discovering new reasons to explore
Why This Matters (and Why I Care)
I believe every town has something special to share—but too often, that magic gets lost in routine. I want to spark a movement where collaboration becomes the norm and creativity is celebrated. Where businesses don’t just try to survive fall… they own it together.
This project gives locals a reason to talk, taste, and share. It highlights the makers, the stories, and the businesses we all love. And it creates real opportunity—the kind that gets you remembered.
